Hi, I’m Brenda Neumann, the photographer and creator behind From the Hollow.

I call the beautiful Kettle Moraine region of southeastern Wisconsin home, where I live with my husband, Don, and our Boston Terrier, Penelope. The changing seasons, winding trails, and natural beauty of this area provide endless inspiration for my photography.

When I'm not designing notecards, you'll usually find me tending my gardens, exploring the outdoors with my camera, practicing yoga, walking Penelope, enjoying time with family and friends, or visiting our family's home in Warren, Vermont.

Thank you for visiting From the Hollow.

I hope you find a card that feels like it was made just for you.

My Story.

From the Hollow began after I retired from a 30-year career in healthcare and had the opportunity to explore my creative side. What started as a simple project—creating photo notecards for family and friends—quickly became something much more. Their enthusiastic response encouraged me to keep creating and sharing the images that inspire me.

Today, my collection is shaped by the places I travel, the flowers that bloom in my gardens, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments. Each photograph is chosen because it tells a story, captures a feeling, or preserves a memory worth sharing.

After participating in my first vendor event in 2023, I realized these cards belonged beyond my circle of family and friends. In less than a year, From the Hollow officially became a business, allowing me to share my work with an even wider community.

The greatest reward is watching someone pause when a card catches their eye—a landscape that reminds them of a favorite trip, a flower that brings back a cherished memory, or an image that feels just right for someone they love. My hope is that every card brings a small moment of joy and helps people stay connected through the simple, meaningful act of sending a handwritten note.
